Pole Jam / Spin City Showcase
Suze set herself a challenge to try and do as many moves as she could in 90 seconds without touching the floor. but she wasn't allowed to do the same move twice! (Well apart from climbing and Inverting) I'm sure she will upload her video to her new blog once it is up and running.
I did a trial run of my performance ready for Sunday, here is the video:
On Sunday Jason and I ventured to Bristol ready for the Spin City Spring Showcase event which was being held at the Panache night club. They had hired out the venue and placed 2 Xpoles on the brightly lit dance floor (one 50mm on Static and one 45mm on Spin mode). Kate Johnstone opened the show with a wicked trick infused routine, my god that girl is strong! After that one by one other performers both amateur and professional came on and did their performance. There was a mixture of Pole Dance and Burlesque. Emma Mitchell did her hilarious old lady burlesque/pole act, I definitely think this was the most memorable performance from the night.
I was the last pole act to go on, I used both Spinny and Static pole and danced to Hysteria by Muse. I felt confident with the routine especially having practiced it at the Jam the day before. There will be some photos to follow from the night as Jason was there as the official photographer, for now you can see my video:
